Restoration &

Project, Inc.

The Cricket II’s rich history - beginning with the craftsmanship of her original design and continuing with record-setting sport fishing, catch/tag and release programs, a rescue at sea, species research and even a portray-al on the big screen - merits her a place in our country’s maritime heritage.

Giving Back

The historic and legendary vessel Cricket II has been donated to The Cricket II Restoration & Preservation Project Inc. (New Bern, NC) by Jon Dodd of Wakefield, Rhode Island.  UPDATE April 2014:   Cricket II has arrived safely in Beaufort, NC, where restoration has begun in workshop space donated by Bock Marine. See Restoration!  She will be restored to her original design - with the exception of modifications to accommodate US Veterans and Wounded Warriors.  Her days for profit are over.  Her future is taking our veterans fishing.  She has a large 22’ cockpit which can accommodate wheelchairs with ease.  Other modifications will be designed and implemented to provide the most comfortable accommodations for the veteran passengers.
